Business prices are per seat. OpenAI states Business requires at least two paid seats. Taxes, currency conversion and local pricing may change the amount you actually pay.
Which ChatGPT plan should you choose?
Choose Free if…
You are still testing AI, use ChatGPT occasionally, or have not yet hit a repeatable limitation that costs you time.
Choose Go if…
You mainly want more everyday usage, files, images or data analysis than Free provides and want the lower-cost paid option available in your market.
Choose Plus if…
You use ChatGPT regularly for work, study, research, coding or creation and want the first meaningful jump in models, reasoning and limits.
Choose Pro if…
ChatGPT is already a high-value professional tool for you and Plus limits materially interrupt intensive research, coding or agentic work.

Three questions before you upgrade
- Are you actually hitting a constraint? If Free already handles your real workload, paying early adds cost without much value.
- Is the constraint usage or capability? Go can make sense for more everyday access; Plus is a stronger jump when advanced models and reasoning matter.
- Can the upgrade pay for itself? For professional use, compare the monthly price with the time saved or work enabled—not with a feature checklist.

ChatGPT Business vs personal plans
Business is not simply “Plus with more messages.” OpenAI positions it as a shared workspace with central administration, billing, security controls and business-oriented data protections. Standard seats currently cost US$25 per user/month on monthly billing or US$20 per user/month when billed annually. Premium seats are US$125 monthly or US$100 monthly when billed annually. A Business workspace requires at least two paid seats.
If you are a solo user, compare Free, Go, Plus and Pro first. Business becomes more relevant when you are managing a team or need organisation-level controls.
